a spoonful of random...

wow. i'm so happy!

I'm contemplating making a VH1 Fan-club site for all the I Love the ((Decade)) nerds like me. We could sit around chatting about the coolness of I Love the 90s and Furbies and snap bracelets and Tamagatchies and scrunchies and all the hilarious "Uncut and Uncensored" moments. Oh, and someone would agree with me that Michael Bolton is creepy beyond words. After watching VH1's worst songs ever or awesomely badder songs or whatever it was called, and thereby seeing Michael Bolton's "Can I Touch You.. There?" video, I gag every time I see him. So, having him introduce the "hotties" of the year is very unpleasant.

No sign of the cell phone yet. Hopefully I'll remember to look for it tomorrow at work.

Oooh.. I finally went shopping today! I picked up $150 worth of dorm organizing stuff. Super fun! One hundred dollars went to the Container Store, which is home of all things found on Clean Sweep, if ya didn't know. Twenty bucks went to IKEA. I would've spent more money there, but I was smart and went to the Container Store first, knowing that I would find the same things at IKEA but at a higher price. Sheesh!! IKEA was sooooo full of people! I eventually got claustrophobic and had to leave. It was horrible! And I kept get pushed around by very rude Asians. I'm not saying that to be racist, but it's the truth! My mom and I were discussing why that might be, and she said it's probably because of the busyness of their culture. They're used to having to push people out of the way to get what they want. Same with people who come from big families. Sounded like a good theory to me!

Oh, the last of the dough went to Bed, Bath & Beyond. Their catalogue had a lot of cool dorm stuff featured, most of which was not at the store, but that's ok. I got what I wanted. Actually, I got some stuff that I've been wanting since I was nine years old. If anyone has ever seen silver metal mesh desk sets / trash cans / office stuff.. I first saw it in the Office Max catalogue when I was nine. Yes, I used to stash Office Max catalogues by my bed like it was my porn. Now it's Seventeen magazines, I'm ashamed to admit. Anywho, I've been in love with the stuff ever since, and I finally got it!! It was on sale at the Container Store. It's gorgeous, and it brings me heartfelt and sincere joy. Ah, the simple pleasures of an office-supply-loving nerd. It makes the perfectionist and the anal retentive side of me so happy to be organized in a stylish way. Yay!

You know, I really like the O.C. soundtrack. I probably mentioned that before, but really, it's pretty cool stuff. Of course, I loved the show, so loving the music might be related to that, but.. who knows. It's not at all what I would usually listen to, but then again, I don't really have a usual. Three cheers for being unpredictable and confusing!

So, I'm off to finish up that design for CookieDesigns.net, which is still under construction. Seriously, the starting picture that I made yesterday is exactly what I had in mind. I love when things come together as planned. Dang, I'm in a good mood today! That's what an I.C. Mocha from Panera, a day of shopping, a week of VH1, and a perfect design can do for me! Whoo-hoo! Oh, and my favorite song on the O.C. soundtrack CD is playing this very moment! Sweet!

Man, it feels good to be happy. Do yourselves a favor and be self-indulgent for an hour or two. It feels really, really good. (Results may vary. Side effects may include empty checkbooks, maxed out credit cards, and a bunch of wicked cool stuff to better organize your life.)

Ok, that bit of lameness is my indication to go. No need to spoil the happiness with my own stupidity!! Hope y'all have as good of a day as I've had! The end.
